Monday August 2 we hired a car and ventured down to La Rochelle to pick up an anchor from Uchimata.
Drove through some lovely towns arriving at Port Atlantique de La Rochelle before noon when so many shops close for lunch.
Picked up the anchor, jumped on Bill & Ben and set off to explore. We hadn't researched La Rochelle prior and boy were we surprised! What a lovely town. Hope you enjoy the pics & video we added :)

Ah! such fond memories of La Rochelle. We drove there from Royan about 15 years ago. A really beautiful place. There was an inscription nearby that outline of Australia (Australie) but can't remember what it was about?? I will pay more attention next time. Finding your blogs really interesting. Keep them coming. Kevin & Alma
