When your job is relocated to China and your kids all move out to start their own lives, you start thinking about what to do with your time. We always loved traveling and our favorite holidays are always near water and are often on cruise ships. With cruise ships however, its hard to get away from the crowds and you only experience a destination for a day or two. So what if we had our own cruise ship and we could stay wherever we wanted for as long as our Visa's permitted...

After some sailing lessons we charted a catamaran in the Whitsunday Islands (Queensland Australia). This experience sealed it for us. We now knew exactly how we wanted to spend the next few years and we had confidants that we were capable of doing it.

In for an inch, in for a mile...

We sold our farm in rural Victoria (Australia), as well as everything else we no longer needed. We moved into a small suburban town house and placed a deposit down on a brand new Lagoon 450s catamaran that we would be picking up from France in July 2021.
