Ibiza June 9, 2022

After 5 days and 400 nautical miles of sailing we finally made it to the island of Ibiza, party/holiday central of the Med. First stop was the Blue Marlin beach resort. The resort has a free dingy shuttle service to pick you up from your boat and deliver you to their resort, so you can mingle with the Gucci/Dior guests. All the latest swimwear was on display and we felt well out of place in this crowd. There were many superyachts anchored in the bay and they partied well into the night, but thankfully most had gone by midnight.

Next was a stop in Ibiza town. We spent the day attempting to check back into Spain. Not an easy thing to do it seems unless you arrive by air. We had a lovely dinner with some new Aussie friends, before heading to an anchorage in a beautiful town called Portinatx the next day. This is the best anchorage we've been so far this year and we ended up staying 6 full days there. Stunning crystal clear, 24 deg water, little shops and restaurants and two beaches where clothing seemed to be optional. Time to stop and relax.
