We spent 3 nights anchored outside the fishing village São Jacinto. After a dinghy/ferry/bus ride we arrived in the tourist town of Aveiro. Aveiro is Portugal's answer to Venice. It has a few canals, colourful buildings, restaurants and shops. The canals are littered with gondolas displaying amusing artwork. Apart from tourism the town is known for fishing, salt and seaweed farming. This morning we are heading for a marina at Figueira da Foz to avoid a few days of stormy Atlantic weather.
